Start GILENYA

When I first started taking GILENYA on day one, I was under observation. Now I take it on my own every day.

More than 100,000 people have been treated with GILENYA worldwide. This number includes clinical trial use and people prescribed GILENYA. Ready to ask your doctor about joining them?

Only GILENYA combines proven efficacy to cut multiple sclerosis (MS) relapses in half vs Avonex®, in a once-daily* pill. Studies showed that GILENYA® reduced the frequency of relapses by 52% in a 1-year study vs Avonex, and by 54% in a 2-year study vs placebo.

If you're thinking about taking GILENYA, this section was made just for you. Learn how to get started, from learning about financial support to finding out what you can expect during the first day on GILENYA. With the arsenal of information here, you may be telling MS, "HEY MS, Take This!"

*GILENYA can result in a slow heart rate when first taken. You will be observed by a health care professional for at least 6 hours after you take your first dose. You may need to repeat this monitoring if you miss a dose.

From January – May 2013, most eligible patients paid a $0 co-pay. Call 1-800-GILENYA for details. People for whom GILENYA has been prescribed are required to report any benefits they receive through the GILENYA Prescription Co-Pay Support Program to their commercial insurance company. This offer is not valid for prescriptions for which payment may be made in whole or in part under federal or state health programs, including but not limited to Medicare or Medicaid. This program is subject to termination or modification at any time.

Medical co-pay support for covered initial assessments/examinations or for First Dose Observation (FDO) is provided without regard to whether the patient continues on with GILENYA therapy. People for whom GILENYA has been prescribed are required to report any benefits they receive under the GILENYA Medical Co-Pay Support Program to their insurance company. This offer is not valid for medical assessments for which payment may be made in whole or in part under federal or state health programs, including but not limited to Medicare or Medicaid, or for residents of Massachusetts, Michigan, or Rhode Island. This program is subject to termination or modification at any time. Medical co-pay support is available only to people who have not yet received GILENYA. An explanation of benefits (EOB) showing remaining costs must be submitted to the GILENYA Go Program to receive the benefit.

Every GILENYA Guide on our site is a GILENYA patient who has said, "HEY MS, Take This!" They have been compensated by Novartis for their involvement. Individual results may vary.
